Where To Eat and Drink at French Lick and West Baden Resort, Indiana- After spending a few days enjoying all the food and drinks that both the French Lick and West Baden hotels had to provide, I can say I was thoroughly impressed with the variety of delicious options throughout the entire resort. They had everything that you could possibly need to fit your travel style and needs. From quick market sandwiches grabs, cute coffee shops, to casual bar food options, sit down steakhouses, and even ice cream shops to fill your late night sweet tooth needs. Here is my complete list of some of the best places to eat and drink at the French Lick and West Baden Resorts in Indiana.

Casual Dining
Ballard’s in the Atrium
Location: West Baden
We got to experience as few fine dinning options at the French Lick and West Baden Resorts, and yet I think my favorites were at the bar at Ballad’s. Ballad’s is located in the atrium of the West Baden Resort.
Coming into lunch hungry after our morning horse back ride we got a few dishes to share and a cold adult beverage. Their menu has a lot of upscale bar food options, our favorite was the Honey Garlic Wings.
Power Plant Bar & Grill
Location: French Lick
You will see how the Power Plant Bar and Grill got it’s name as soon as your walk in to dine or order some drinks. This bar puts on display the very large switch board in which use to supply power to the hotel. Here you will find your typical bar food on their menu, we never ate here but grabbed some drinks here before our meal at 1875.
Fine Dining
1875: The Steakhouse
Location: French Lick
Most reviews I read requested that you must have dinner experience at 1875: The Steakhouse while spending time at the French Lick and West Bade Resort.
I am glad I listened to the recommendations because this was one of my favorite restaurants on the resort. The is definitely a type of place in which it is a splurge but all so worth it.
Here I ordered the Baked Lobster Mac and Cheese and Five Onion Soup as an appetizer, turned sides. They were both delicious, and the onion soup actually came in an onion! How fun!
After the appetizers we both got steaks and brussel sprouts for our main course. I am a dessert lover so I couldn’t pass up the Bananas Foster made table side! I was such a fan. I still dream of those caramel smells. You can check out their dining menu and drink menu before you reserve on Open Table.
I love the nice touch of giving us a rose on the way out the door, definitely made me smile.
Sinclair’s Restaurant
Location: West Baden
Sinclair’s is another great fine dining option, located in the West Baden Resort.
They have so many options of great menu items we had a hard time deciding what to order! We decided on Lobster Bisque which seems to be a staple there.
Items rotate seasonally so make sure you check out the menu before hand. We loved the service there as well! Check out their menu to pre-pick what delicious food you plan on ordering. It wasn’t super busy when we went but it doesn’t hurt to make reservations ahead of time.
Café Sinclair’s
Location: West Baden
As soon as we sat down at Cafe Sinclair’s I had the hardest time deciding what to order on their menu, everything that came out of the kitchen around us looking so good! But I went with the Egg’s Benedict and we shared some of the grits. I will say the smoked salmon bagel coming out of the kitchen looked fantastic! It’s making my mouth water right now.
This breakfast was prefect for filling us up before we hit the road to head home. I would definitely recommend a visit here for breakfast, I liked it even better than dinner that this location. But I do love a great breakfast!
Quick Eats and Drinks
Pluto’s Pizzeria
Location: French Lick
This little gem at French Lick is prefect if spending time at the resort with kids. How much fun would it be to spend an afternoon chowing down on pizza off their menu, playing some rounds of bowling and throwing it back with some arcade games. Such a great casual spot to chill out at the resort. I love how many different options there are here.
Xanadu Coffee & Creamery
Location: West Baden
Xanadu Coffee & Creamery is perfect for the quick grab and go breakfast before an active day, or visiting for a mid day ice cream in the summer. This place as is all at the West Baden Resort.
We got coffee here a few times as a pick me up. But my favorite part is that that have a walk up window to order on the resort porch. I loved waking up to sip coffee on the West Baden rocking chairs, over looking the fountain and garden, cant get more relaxed than this.
Other Tips and Tricks of the Resort:
If staying at either side of the resort, French Lick or West Baden you can have access to any of their restaurants. And free trolley runs very frequently between each of the resorts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
I often had the assumption that the resorts were made for people who gambled or golfed, boy was I wrong. Check out all the activities that I got into during my short time there, in my post What To Do at The West Baden and French Lick Resorts In Indiana.
You can still stay in the French Lick area and enjoy the amenities of the resorts.
